Tuddle Mylena
Tuddle Mylena was born on the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts & Nevis, West Indies. She is known to her family as Tuddle and to her friends as Mylena. Tuddle moved from the Caribbean to South Florida at a young age, where she attended Elementary, Middle School, High School, and more...
Growing up, Tuddle spent much of her time alone. She struggled to make many friends, due to her Caribbean accent and her speech impediment of stuttering. Back then, her shyness was only compounded by the agonizing taunting & bullying she endured from other children her age. Unable to express herself freely and feeling isolated, at the age of 11 she put pen to paper, which soon became her best friend.
Tuddle wrote notebooks filled with poems about her life for over 30 years. Expressing life’s ups and downs in written form became not only a therapeutic outlet for her, but her passion. Though writing gave her true peace, she always dreamt of having the courage to share her innermost thoughts with others. Having taken speech therapy to help her with her stuttering problem, assisted in helping her break out of her shell, it was her true passion & love for poetry and art that truly inspired Tuddle to break free of the judgments imposed on her by others.
Tuddle always wanted to assist others in having a voice in life, whether through written or verbal communication. She feels that everyone should be heard. And in 2012 she launched a free writer’s social network website for everyone to freely & creatively express themselves and “Share the Ultimate Power of Words Untold…” called ‘Sum Poetry Drama
Sum Poetry Drama initial mission, was to perform as a social networking website, that not only gives its users an outlet to express themselves freely and without judgment, but also the ability to receive real time feedback from likeminded individuals who share the same love of the written word. Her desire to help others voices be heard is embodied in all aspects of this site and the poetry that she also shares on it.
Sum Poetry Drama has now evolved, along with the artist Tuddle Mylena.
You can now view more of the artistic vision of Tuddle. Starting with her recreation of everyday photos taken, created into beautiful artwork for your home. Continuing with her making and assembling seashells handpicked from different beaches and turning them into one of a kind, everyday wear, handmade jewelry for everyone.
Tuddle is currently working on her own book of Poetry & Quotes, amongst other entrepreneurial avenues.
